From September 5th to 10th, VD MAIS participated in the IAA Mobility exhibition in Munich. The company’s representatives showcased the technical capabilities of VD MAIS production, with a focus on meeting the requirements of the automotive industry. These capabilities include soldering in a nitrogen environment, in-circuit testing, and LED analysis.
VD MAIS has been manufacturing electronic modules for automobiles since 2015 when the company became the first contract manufacturer in Ukraine to receive ISO/TS 16949 certification. The company has established a strong reputation among automotive industry clients and collaborates with leading automakers such as VAG, Mercedes, Renault, and others. Therefore, the IAA Mobility exhibition provided an opportunity not only to demonstrate their capabilities and establish new connections but also to meet with long-standing friends and clients.
Thanks to the initiative and support of the Ukrainian Automotive Cluster, several Ukrainian manufacturers specializing in automotive parts and components joined forces to present themselves and their products at a shared Ukrainian booth. During the exhibition, Olga Trofimova, the cluster manager, discussed the manufacturing capabilities and experiences of VD MAIS and other manufacturers at a conference held as part of the event.
This year, IAA Mobility attracted 750 exhibitors from 38 countries who presented over 300 innovations. According to organizers’ estimates, the exhibition was attended by half a million people. Among the distinguished guests were numerous celebrities and politicians, including German Chancellor Olaf Scholz.
As a result of the exhibition, VD MAIS plans to expand its cooperation with new clients in the field. Additionally, the company intends to return to Munich in 2024 for the IAA Transportation exhibition, which focuses on freight and public transportation.
