ELECTRO INSTALL, NEFTEGAZEXPO and other trade fairs

A series of trade fairs on oil-and-gas, energy industry, power utilities and related industries has been conducted in Kyiv. As expected, there were no crowds at the expos, but…

…but we evaluate participation in the events as necessary and finally fruitful.

VD MAIS took part in international exhibitions ELECTRO INSTALL, ENERGY IN INDUSTRY and NEFTEGAZEXPO, which were held from November 10 to 12 2020 at the International Exhibition Center in Kiev. Due to the difficult epidemiological situation, these and other industrial exhibitions on the same dates in the neighboring pavilions of the center were predictably not overcrowded. The number of exhibitors decreased by about half – most foreign companies could not take part. The number of visitors has decreased significantly.

On the other hand, the specialists who did visit the exhibitions did not come just for idle curiosity. Most of the visitors, and, it should be noted that, contrary to expectations, many engineers came to the exhibitions from all over Ukraine, came to VD MAIS booth purposefully, with questions and searching of optimal solutions.

“There are always solutions” – this was the motto of our exposition this year. The firm presented an expansion of contract manufacturing capabilities and new options for ordering electronic components online.

At the beginning of this year, despite the lockdown, VD MAIS was able to put into operation new EMS facilities: conformal coating, cable cutting, contact crimping and cable harness manufacturing. The target interest of the exhibition visitors to the contract assembly of control cabinets, to the supply of printed circuit boards and the assembly of electronic modules was also noticeable.

The possibility of contactless online ordering of electronic and electrical components on VD MAIS website, reduction of delivery time, opening of new options for the automatic generation of invoices and possibility of payment by credit card for businesses and individuals were positively met by market. The news about the partnership agreement between VD MAIS and Digi-Key, which opens up unhindered access to the world’s largest warehouse of electronic components for domestic developers, was also welcomed.
