Messe München exhibition center hosted the world’s largest trade fair for innovation in electronics manufacturing and development from 12 to 15 November.
Productronica 2019 Brief Summary: More than 1,500 exhibitors from 44 countries took part in the event. More than 44,000 visitors from 96 countries gathered in the capital of Bavaria to get acquainted with the latest technologies in the production of electronics. The largest number of specialists (in order of decreasing) came from Germany, Italy, Austria, Switzerland and France, as well as from Russia, Great Britain and the Czech Republic.
Ukrainian flag was raised again at Messe Alley. Ukraine, like two years ago at productronica-2017, was represented at the exhibition in Munich by the only participant – VD MAIS, the leading contract manufacturer of electronic modules in Ukraine. A high level of production culture, sophisticated technologies and modern equipment, well-established supply and inventory management systems, as well as a modern IT system, allow VD MAIS to offer optimal solutions for EOM in a variety of industries: automotive, medical and aerospace, industrial automation, telecommunications, telematics, IIoT applications, infrastructure and industrial applications, etc.
Under the motto “Accelerating Innovation”, this year’s exhibition focused on “smart factory” and “smart service”. The world is ‘spinning’ faster and faster, electronics production is becoming more complex, and customization of products within the framework of Industry 4.0 is gaining popularity. At the same time, the requirements for the quality of products are significantly increased, up to the complete exclusion of the release of poor-quality products within the framework of the ‘zero error’ concept. In addition to the functionality of the actual production, more and more often, electronics manufacturers are expected to have the capabilities and competencies for comprehensive testing of finished products in order to exclude products with functionality that does not meet specifications from leaving the production site.
Falk Senger, Managing Director of Messe München Exhibition Center, believes that the success of productronica and electronica biennials is based on proactive promotion of the latest technologies and, like nowhere else in the world, a high concentration of leading companies presenting their latest developments. By the way, the exhibition ‘grew’: the number of productronica exhibitors in 2019 increased by 15% compared to 2017, even despite a slight slowdown in the industry observed this year.
This year’s exhibition will be remembered for bright industrial shows at special exhibition areas 3D AOI Arena and Smart Maintenance Pavilion. The premiere of productronica-2019 was the Fast Forward platform for startups in the field of electronics, which includes a competitive selection followed by an exhibition of winners’ solutions.
To solve the problem of attracting young specialists to the industry at productronica-2019 a number of events served, including the Career Center, a cycle of training seminars and master classes, a manual-soldering competition for IPC prizes and a 48-hour Hackathon @ productronica, organized by Messe München in cooperation with VDMA and the Fraunhofer Institute for Reliability and Microintegration (IZM).
In the traditional competition of innovations at the exhibition this year, the development of more than 80 of the world’s best companies came together. It is noteworthy that solutions from VD MAIS partner companies won in 2 out of 6 nominations: German Seho Systems – in SMT cluster and British Vision Engineering – in Inspection & Quality cluster.
VD MAIS itself won its victory. This is already the third exposition of the company at the exhibitions in Munich. In 2017, VD MAIS became the first participant from Ukraine, and in honor of it, Ukrainian flag was raised for the first time at Messe Alley. In November 2018, a yellow-blue flag fluttered proudly in front of the central entrance to the Messe München complex again, since three companies from Ukraine at once, incl. VD MAIS, took part in electronica exhibition. And so, this year VD MAIS again represented our country at the main world exhibition in the field of production and development of electronics.
The undoubted benefit from participation in the exhibition is new partners and clients from different countries of Europe and the world, new contacts with manufacturers of specialized equipment, deep immersion in the world of innovations and the latest developments, communication with specialists from the best companies in the industry. Among them, by the way, there are quite a few Ukrainians, professionals from Ukrainian electronics industry. It is nice that our colleagues find time to drop by the VD MAIS stand either with a courtesy visit or to discuss current issues. After all, where, if not in Munich, it works best!
Therefore, we are waiting for you at VD MAIS corporate booth every second week of November at the Munich Exhibition Center. The next electronica will take place from 10 to 13 November 2020, and the next productronica – from 16 to 19 November 2021. You know where to find us. See you soon – again in Munich.
P.S: However, you don’t have to wait for next November. We are open for daily communication and in Kyiv. And also in Kharkov, Dnipro, Lviv, Odesa and Zaporizhzhya – wherever VD MAIS has its representative offices.
P.P.S .: As for exhibitions, the next one in which VD MAIS will take part is the specialized exhibition embedded world-2020, which will be held on February 25-27 in Nuremberg. We are waiting for you at our corporate stand.
