MEAN WELL, a manufacturer of ultra-thin open-frame power supplies, recently introduced the LOP-200/300 series with a 4″ x 2″ footprint and power ratings of 200W/300W. The manufacturer is now expanding this series with the addition of the LOP-400/500/600 models with a 5″ x 3″ (177×76.2mm) footprint and power ratings of 400W/500W/600W, respectively.
The MEAN WELL LOP family of models is a wide range of compact, high-efficiency, and safe embedded open-frame power supplies with excellent electromagnetic compatibility characteristics. LOP power supplies are suitable for use in Class I or II systems, providing reliable and cost-effective power for various electronic devices.
Compared to the EPP/RPS-300/400/500 series already on the market, the main differences of the LOP-400/500/600 series are: low profile (height 27.5 – 33.5 mm), extended voltage range from 12V to 54V, increased power up to 600W with a 177×76.2mm footprint, 150% peak load support for 3 seconds, wide operating temperature range, compliance with OVCIII, 2xMOPP, and BF requirements for medical applications.
This device simultaneously meets multiple safety standards in various industries, including 62368-1/60601-1/61558-1/60335-1. These power supplies are suitable for use in high-power devices in the fields of communication, networking, medical, industrial control, security, home automation, and others.
