The updated certificate for IATF 16949:2016 is yet another confirmation that VD MAIS’ electronics production meets the highest standards of quality and reliability. The certificate demonstrates the company’s commitment to continuously improving its quality management system and ensuring a high level of electronics production, particularly for the automotive industry.
This international standard defines requirements for quality management systems in the automotive industry. The foundation of the standard is based on the requirements of ISO 9001, and IATF 16949 expands these requirements specifically within the automotive manufacturing sector. In particular, Section 7 describes “Production Process” and sets requirements for company processes that should ensure confidentiality, special user characteristics, a multifunctional approach, sample testing, setup verification, and other aspects of passenger and commercial vehicle production.
The audit for compliance with the requirements of IATF 16949:2016 was conducted by the German laboratory Dekra, one of the world leaders in conformity assessment and certification. The auditors highly praised VD MAIS’ quality management system and confirmed its compliance with the standard criteria.
The IATF 16949:2016 certificate strengthens VD MAIS’ position in the international market of automotive components. It confirms the reliability of the company as an electronics supplier and increases trust from leading automakers.
